 Swan Pools Custom Design Team
Jim Eldridge – Sales Manager
 Jim possesses commanding experience and grace with his backyard designs. With over 20 years as a Senior Designer and Sales Manager at Swan Pools, it can be argued that Jim is the most experienced swimming pool and spa designer in Orange County, CA today. From training, designing, and managing, he has been influential in over 3000 pools. The sum of his outdoor home improvement creations have seen and received more awards and accolades than any other swimming pool and spa designs in the pool industry. He excels in helping our clients realize their ideas, in defining their goals, and then making them into a reality. Jim is versatile in designing natural settings from San Clemente to Shady Canyon and from Newport Coast to compact entertainment designs in Corona Del Mar; even front yard spas and entries. But perhaps Jim’s greatest attribute is his innovation; the ability to design luxurious masterpieces that incorporate construction efficiencies for greater value. Jim’s prior professional experience has only aided him in his quest as a licensed real estate agent, several internships in construction and civil engineering through his family’s business, and even serving as an expert witness in our justice department. Jim graduated from University of California, Irvine with studies in Political Science and Psychology. He enjoys music, raising his two sons, maintaining a high level of physical fitness, and will always participate in conversation with family and friends over a glass of wine.
Don McKinney – Senior Designer
 Mr. McKinney came to Swan Pools over 10 years ago with an already established, extensive knowledge of design and art. Helping to refine his skill set, Don currently holds a Masters in Fine Arts, teaching credentials from several Universities such as Ohio University and California State Polytechnic University, and city commission seats such as the Newport Beach Arts Commission; as well as participating in art exhibits, receiving Best of Show awards and honors from around the world. Swan Pools and the homeowners whom have had the pleasure of working with him have greatly benefited over the years from his expertise, passion, and ever growing mastery of swimming pool, spa, and backyard entertainment design. Over Don’s tenure with Swan Pools his designs have won numerous national and international design awards for many categories ranging from freeform designs, geometric pools, infinity edge designs, as well as all encompassing backyard landscapes. Don is a kind and passionate individual that will put his client’s interests and goals first in working with and designing their swimming pool construction project. Don is an extremely involved with his loving family, 6 kids, and one grandchild.
Jana Ewell – Aesthetics, Sales Coordinator, and Warranty Administrator
 Jana has been the voice of Swan Pools for over 7 years. Assisting customers, addressing clients’ needs, aiding in aesthetics choices, recommending material yards, and helping customer’s to transform their visions into reality. Jana’s customer service skills allows her to understand our clients’ likes and dislikes and helps them in choosing colors helping to attain their backyard dream whether it be bright or shady, a lagoon, a beach, or a Caribbean atmosphere. Jana’s previous employment has only aided in her overall career development and Swan Pools has greatly been at the receiving end from her customer skills from beginning as a Teller with Bank of America to earning a Top Sales award with Union Bank as a Teller, New Accounts Administrator, and Loan Administrator and culminating as a Jr. Loan Officer with Bank of America. This is when Swan Pools noticed her and did not let go. With Swan Pools she has completed several workshops and training working with the many different stone materials, plaster choices, and tile choices. Through Jana’s grown professional education and aesthetic abilities Swan Pools has been awarded several international and national design awards for their completed swimming pool and spa projects. Jana’s traditional education before entering into the professional world centered on English and History. She is a very energetic and a sociable person; loving and enjoying many people’s ideas and creativity. Apart from an excellent Swan Pools employee, Jana enjoys competing in 5k road races, traveling, gardening, and sailing. She has a yen for fine dining and you might possibly catch her at a country music concert.
Swan Pools Construction Team
Dustin Lindberg – Asst. Construction Manager
 Swan Pools was fortunate to acquire Dustin 6 years ago as he had already been in the swimming pool industry for 3 years gaining experience from start-ups, warranty service calls, and culminating as a project manager before joining the Swan Pools team. Swan Pools is proud to announce that Dustin has recently been promoted to Asst. Construction Manager. The Swan Pools Construction Department has benefited vastly from Dustin’s 6 years of dedication and continuing efforts to make the Swan Pools Construction Department the best in Orange County, California in quality, timeliness, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. He currently holds a C53 swimming pool contractor’s license obtained in 2007. Prior to the swimming pool industry Dustin was working towards the medical industry becoming a certified EMT. Dustin is easy to work with, family oriented, and highly organized. When not professionally helping Swan Pools, Dustin may be found coaching his daughters’ fast pitch softball teams and supporting his third daughter’s water polo ambitions.
Mike Ruiz – Senior Project Manager
 Mike is the most versatile Project Manager Swan Pools has in its portfolio. The Swan Pools Construction Department has benefitted vastly from Mike’s abilities for over 7 years. Previously, Mike came from the home building industry and has proved to be a quick learner, adhering to the Swan Pools way of pool building. Mike quickly rose from an Assistant Project Manager through to a Senior Project Manager with full project responsibility and continues to this day to rigorously implement the quality that Swan Pools demands of its projects while maintaining timeliness, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Mike’s excellent customer service skills aid him in allowing homeowners to realize a smooth process for a large construction project in their backyards. Also benefitting homeowners are Mike’s certifications from our equipment vendor and knowledge on properly operating the swimming pools and spa, remote systems, proper maintenance and service. Away from his time with the Swan Pools Construction Team, Mike enjoys raising his two daughters and can often be found with them at Disneyland and local sporting events.
Gene Fields – Planner, Scheduler and Construction Coordinator
 Gene is directly responsible for timely coordinating the many facets that takes place during the interwoven construction process and the coordination between them: such as work order distribution, timely operation completions, communicating change order requests to project managers, inspection requests, and finalizations. His contributions of timeliness and attention to detail have been greatly felt by the construction department and homeowners alike for the 4 years Gene has been with Swan Pools. Prior to his employment with Swan Pools, logistics and quality assurance have been at the center of Gene’s career working for companies such as McDonnell/Douglas Aircraft, Gunn Van Lines Wilmington, Met-Rx Health Foods Supplements, and James Hardy Gypsum Company. Gene currently holds a Masters of Arts Degree, Bachelor of Arts in Communication/Business Management, and certified in biomedical photography and studio management from the highly accredited Brooks Institute, West Coast School of Professional Photography, in Santa Barbara, California. Throughout his tenure, he has also held senior photographer and studio manager positions as well as obtaining international professional honors. He was recognized by the Vatican’s approval for his portrait work of the Arch Bishop of Panama which hangs in the Archdiocese of Panama City. Rounding out Gene’s character he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Bronze Star Medal with Combat V for Valor and the Purple Heart Medal during his tour of duty (1962 – 1968) with the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. Gene adores and lives for his family; wife, 5 children, and his 4 grandchildren.
